Drift was finally realized this Winter after ongoing collaborations with different artists passing through my studio: Eli Gold and David Hague. It’s one of those pieces that makes itself apparent after years of parts sitting around the studio and “fermenting”, as i like to call it. . . add a piece here, take away a piece there and slowly it takes form. The paddle was salvaged during Hurricane Katrina. The large drift wood seat was found when the MS river was at flood stage 4 Springs ago and brought in tons of debris. The church pew was found in parts in an old garage.
All pieces are one-of-a-kind, yet similar forms and materials can be re-created upon request.
