Bicycle Bottle Opener

A unique gift for any bike riding enthusiast.  Every bike chain bottle opener I make is handmade and one-of-a-kind.

These fully functional bottle openers are made from recycling the chain and rear sprocket off a bicycle drive train. The opener is built with heavy duty rivets to insure longevity, with a circular washer punched from salvaged street signs is used as both ornament and name tag.

I pull chains and worn sprockets from scrap bins at local bike shops and clean and tumble all parts with stainless steel shot for 24 hours. Each opener is flame burnished with a coat of wax to preserve patina and inhibit further oxidation.
