The title of this chair is “Mobile” pronounced “MOE-bile”. It’s beauty lies in mixtures, curves, and hard angles. I’m driven by the high-speed American automobile culture and re-purposing its remnants as stationary objects. Contradiction is inherent in my work.
Metal chair. Hand formed signs and forged angle iron. Materials joined with rivets, nuts, and bolts. Road signs salvaged after Hurricane Katrina. I love bending metal with my hands, with a hammer, and with a flame. All of these pieces are one-of-a-kind, yet similar forms can me created and materials used upon request.
